Meet Vicki
Vicki graduated from the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 2006. Her career has seen her working in various environments including private practice in addition to District Health Board and community settings.
Vicki developed an interest in the field of Occupational Health physiotherapy during her time at Southland Hospital which led to her taking on the role of Manual Handling Advisor for the hospital. It was during her time in this role that Vicki became passionate about manual and patient handling together with injury prevention and management, and rehabilitation within the workplace.
Vicki subsequently went on to complete postgraduate study including the Postgraduate Certificate in Physiotherapy endorsed in Occupational Health Physiotherapy (2009), and later the Master of Health Sciences endorsed in Rehabilitation (2016).
As a Southlander, born and bred, Vicki lives in Invercargill with her Welsh husband and two young children.
Vicki enjoys meeting people from varying occupations and providing support to help them overcome any obstacles within their rehabilitation. She looks forward to utilising her skills and experience in assisting Southlander’s return to work following an illness or injury, and also reducing their risk of injury through injury prevention and manual or patient handling education.
